Gudela Grote (born December 4, 1960 in Wiesbaden ) is a German work and organizational psychologist and university professor.

Life

Gudela Grote was born in Wiesbaden. After finishing school, she studied psychology at the Philipps University of Marburg and the Technical University of Berlin . After graduating from the Technical University of Berlin, she was a doctoral candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta from 1984 to 1987 . At Georgia Tech, she did her PhD with a thesis on the situational specificity and consistency of achievement motivation.

In 1988 she came to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich , where she became an assistant professor four years later. In 1996 she completed her habilitation at the ETH Zurich and one year later became an associate professor at the ETH. Since September 2000, she has been a full professor for work and organizational psychology in the Department of Management, Technology and Economics.

Gudela Grote is on the board of the SKU Association of Swiss Courses for Corporate Management and co-editor of the journal Safety Science as well as on the editorial board of other journals.
