Guelph Medal

The Guelph Order Medal was an additional Hanoverian award in addition to the actual Guelph Order .

This medal was donated on August 12, 1815 to honor the bravery of the NCOs and soldiers. The founder was King Ernst August . Holders of the medal could continue to wear the award after completing their military service. The award was associated with an annual donation of 24 Reichsthalers .

Order decoration

The order decoration was a silver medal with the portrait of the founder on the front and the inscription "GEORG PRINZ REGENT". The reverse with the inscription "MERIT UMS FATHERLAND" had a personal engraving for the wearer . The first and last name of the recipient was engraved around the edge.

Ribbon

The ribbon was the ribbon of the Guelph Order.
