Uma Ana Ico ( Uma-Anaico ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Venilale ( municipality of Baucau ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Uma Ana Ico had an area of 6.51 km². Now there are 8.44 km². The Suco is located in the northwest of the administrative office Venilale. To the east is the Suco Uma Ana Ulo and south of the Suco Baha Mori . In the west Uma Ana Ico borders on the administrative office Vemasse with its Suco Loilubo and in the north on the administrative office Baucau with its Suco Gariuai .

The overland road between the towns of Baucau and Venilale runs through the neighboring Uma Ana Ulo near the border. The road through the Suco itself only leads through a thin strip that extends to the east. Here is the place Uatu-Nau ( Uaitunau ). The largest settlement center in Sucos goes beyond this limit. The core is the place Quele-Boro-Uai ( Quele Boro Uai , Queleborouai ). The village of Umatunau borders it to the south . The primary school of sucos is called Escola Primaria Catolica Bercoli .

The four Aldeias Betunau , Quele-Boro-Uai , Uai-te and Uatu-Nau are located in the Suco . The place Betunau ( Betonau ) is located in the Suco Uma Ana Ulo.

Residents

The Suco has 1294 inhabitants (2015), of which 663 are men and 631 women. The population density is 153.4 inhabitants / km². There are 230 households in the Suco. About 95% of the population name Waimaha as their mother tongue, which is one of the Kawaimina languages. About 5% speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Martinho Ricardo Freitas elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected. In the elections in 2016 won Romulo Paulino Belo .
