Baha Mori ( Bahamori ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Venilale ( municipality of Baucau ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Baha Mori had an area of ​​24.78 km². Now there are 21.71 km². The Suco is to the north of the Venilale administrative office. The Suco is divided into two separate territories. Between the two areas is the Suco Bado-Ho'o , which, like a “C”, frames the eastern part of Baha Mori in the north, west and south. To the southeast is the Suco Uatu Haco , to the northeast is the Baucau administrative office with its Suco Uailili and to the east, across the border river Sauma , the Ossu administrative office ( Viqueque municipality ) with its Suco Uaibobo . To the north of the western part of Baha Moris are the sucos Uma Ana Ico and Uma Ana Ulo , to the south the sucos Uatu Haco and Fatulia . To the west is the Vemasse administrative office with its Suco Loilubo .

The Sauma joins the Saluhada river coming from the east and forms the Seiçal , which follows the border with Uailili. The Cainame , which forms part of the border with Bado-Ho'o , also flows into it. The Vemasse river , which flows into the administrative office of the same name, has its source in the western part of the Sucos .

The country road runs through the west of Baha Mori between the towns of Baucau and Venilale . The place Lia-Oli ( Liaoli , Liaho ) lies on it , a little to the northwest of it the village of Uatubela Oli ( Uatubelaoli , Uatubulauti ). In the eastern part are the villages of Uai-Toqui ( Uaitoque , Uaitoki ), Caimale-Ho'o ( Caimalaeho , Kaimalehoo ), Cuno-Oli ( Cumo-Oli , Kumooli ) and Dara Lata ( Daralata ). There is a primary school and a medical station in Lia-Oli. There are other primary schools in Cuno-Oli and Uai-Toqui.

In the Suco are the six Aldeias Caimale-Ho'o , Cuno-Oli , Laco-Uma , Lia-Oli , Neo-Ho'o and Uai-Toqui . While maps indicate that Neo-Ho'o is in Bado-Ho'o and Uatubela Oli is in Suco Baha Mori, according to the official government document, the Aldeias are in the other Suco.

Residents

1762 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 865 are men and 897 women. The population density is 81.2 inhabitants / km². There are 329 households in the Suco. Almost 90% of the residents state Midiki as their mother tongue, less than 5% speak Waimaha . Both belong to the Kawaimina languages. In addition, almost 5% speak Tetum Prasa and small minorities speak Makasae and Makuva .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Armindo da Silva elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Estanislau Guterres and was in 2016 re-elected.
