Guglielmo Guiscardi

Guglielmo Guiscardi (born February 27, 1821 in Naples , † December 9, 1885 ) was an Italian mineralogist and geologist.

Life

In 1860 Guiscardi was appointed to the chair of geology and mineralogy at the University of Naples . It was there that he began building the Musei delle Scienze Naturali (Museum of Geology and Paleontology).
