Guglielmo L. Brentel
Guglielmo L. Brentel (born July 22, 1955 in Unterseen ) is a Swiss hotelier and President of Hotelleriesuisse until the end of 2014 .
Life
Brentel graduated from the École hôtelière de Lausanne and is a hotelier himself. He is on the board of various committees and was President of the Zurich Hotelier Association from 1998 to 2005. After leading positions in various hotels, he has been running his H&G Hotel Gast AG, a management and consulting company for hotels and restaurants, since 1989. In 2017 he founded the host 3.0 AG together with young entrepreneurs, which is supposed to lead existing hotels to success and develop and operate new projects. He has management responsibility for 6 hotel businesses and sits on various boards of directors. Brentel was President of hotelleriesuisse from summer 2005 to the end of 2014. From January 2015 to September 2017 he was President of EHL SA (École hôtelière Lausanne). Today he is President of Zurich Tourism and a member of the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG.
Brentel is divorced and has two children.
