Juerg Sollberger

Jürg Fortunat Sollberger (* 1940 ) is a Swiss lawyer and researcher in the field of criminal law and criminal procedure law .

Life

Sollberger studied law at the University of Bern and obtained the advocacy patent in 1967 . In 1989 he received his doctorate. He was an examining magistrate for three years and then a single judge in criminal matters for 14 years. He was then president of the civil court at the time. In 1991 he was elected to the higher court of the canton of Bern , to which he belonged until the end of 2003. He also belonged to the commercial criminal court, the commercial court and the criminal chamber and presided over the 3rd criminal chamber of the higher court of the canton Bern. During his time as a judge at the High Court of the Canton of Bern, he passed the verdict in the case of the Nestlé kills campaign (The Baby Killer) . Sollberger is now a professional adviser, lecturer and course leader at the Competence Center forensics and white-collar crime at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences .
