Gui Lin (born October 1, 1993 in Nanning (China)) is a Brazilian table tennis player . From 2014 to 2019 she took part in all world championships as well as in the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016 .

Career

Gui Lin has lived in Brazil since she was 12. From 2011 she competed in youth tournaments under the flag of Brazil with the approval of the world association ITTF . The coach was Hugo Hoyama , who was considered the best Brazilian table tennis player at the time. She obtained Brazilian citizenship in May 2012.

In the same year she was nominated for participation in the team competition at the Olympic Games in London. The team ended up in 9th place.

In 2015 Gui Lin reached the final of the Pan American Games in singles. In 2016 she won the individual Latin American Championships.

She acquired a ticket to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro through the Latin American Continental Qualifier . Again she came with the team in 9th place. In the singles she defeated the Spaniard Galia Dvorak , then she was eliminated against the Romanian Elizabeta Samara .

From 2014 to 2019 Gui Lin took part in all world championships , but never came close to medal ranks.
