from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Guide Mayer ( The Art Auctions Dictionary - Le Dictionnaire des Enchères - Lexicon of auctions ) is a lexicon that was published from 1962 to 2005. It recorded thousands of sales results from (art auctions ) in international auction houses and also contained lists sorted by artist and technique.

The Guide Mayer has been published annually since 1962, the last (41st) volume with a length of 2,549 pages in 2005. Since then it has been replaced by a website that documents the sale of works of art: Artvalue.com was launched in 2007 and collects all sales results of art, luxury and collectibles.
