Guido Baranowski

Gerd Guido Baranowski (* 1953 in Unna ) is a German manager. He is the managing director of the TechnologieZentrumDortmund.

Career

After training as an industrial clerk, Baranowski studied business administration in Dortmund and economics in Münster. He then worked in various positions in industry and in public business development. In March 1985 he was responsible for the concept for the development and expansion of the TechnologieZentrumDortmund (TZDO) and the adjacent technology park . Thanks to his initiatives, more than 250 companies settled there and over 8,000 jobs were created or secured. He made a lasting contribution to structural change in the Rhine-Ruhr region.

From 1990 to 2001 he was chairman of the Federal Association of Technology Centers . He is the author of around 50 publications on technology and structural policy.
