Guido II. Brisebarre

Guido II Brisebarre († before 1164 ) was Lord of Beirut in the Kingdom of Jerusalem .

He was the younger son of Guido I. Brisebarre . After his death, his older brother Walter II. Brisebarre became lord of Beirut. Around 1156 Walter II joined the Knights Templar and left the rule of Beirut to Guido II.

In 1153 he took part in the victorious siege of Askalon .

His wife was probably called Marie († after August 1164). He had at least six children with her:

  • Walter III. († 1179), Lord of Beirut, Lord of Montréal, Lord of Blanchgarde;
  • Guido († before 1193) ∞ Juliane Garnier , mistress of Caesarea;
  • Bernhard, Lord of Blanchgarde;
  • Hugo;
  • Beatrix ∞ Jean le Tor, Lord of Manuet;
  • Margarethe ∞ Guermond I. , Lord of Bethsan.

He died in 1164 at the latest, the rule of Beirut was inherited by his son Walter III.
