Juliane Garnier

Juliane Garnier († 1213/1216) was mistress of Caesarea in the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem .

Her parents were Hugo Garnier and Isabella von Gothman. Her brother Walter II. Garnier had inherited the paternal rule of Caesarea around 1168 .

In 1187 the rule of Sultan Saladin was conquered. Walter died childless around 1190 and Juliane inherited his claims to the rule of Caesarea. This was recaptured and restored by the Third Crusade in 1191 .

She was married to Guido Brisebarre , a son of Guido II of Beirut , who died in 1192 at the latest, since 1182 . She then married Aymar de Lairon , who survived her and joined the Hospitaller Order after her death .

The exact date of her death is not known, she died between October 1213 and February 1216.

Thereupon her son from her first marriage, Walter III. Brisebarre , new lord of Caesarea.
