Guido IV (St. Pol)
Guido IV of Châtillon (French: Guy IV de Châtillon ; † 1360 in London ) was a Count of Saint-Pol from the House of Châtillon . He was a son of Count John of Saint-Pol († 1344) and Jeanne de Fiennes.
During the Hundred Years War , Guido fought as a royal general ( lieutenant du roi ) in Picardy in several skirmishes against the English. In the course of the Peace of Brétigny in 1360 he had to move to the court of the King of England as a hostage for King John II . There he died of the plague shortly afterwards .
Guido was married to Jeanne de Luxembourg († 1392), a daughter of Johann I von Ligny . Since they had no children, his sister Mathilde and her husband Guy de Luxembourg , who was a brother of his wife, succeeded him in the inheritance.
