Guillaume d'Aspremont-Lynden
Guillaume Bernard Charles Ferdinand , Count of Aspremont-Lynden (born October 14, 1815 - September 6, 1889 ) was a Belgian politician. He was a member of the conservative Catholic Party .
Political career
From 1842 to 1875 he was mayor of Barvaux-Condroz . In 1864 he came to the Senate for the Arrondissement of Namur and remained a senator until 1884. In 1872 d'Aspremont-Lynden was appointed Minister of War . He was then Minister for Foreign Affairs until 1878 . He also served as Vice President of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs (1880), President of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs (1881-1884) and President of the Senate Committee on Agriculture (1883-1884).
