Julio Guillermo Besozzi Arocena (born October 16, 1961 ) is a Uruguayan politician , businessman and former polo player .

Personal, educational path and job

Besozzi is married to Martha Viera and has four daughters Florencia María , María Emilia , María Sara and Elisa María . He also has a grandson named Jeremías . The path of his school education led through the Colegio de las Hnas. Teresa in Dolores , which in Mercedes located Colegio San Miguel and is also headquartered there American School. Besozzi, who works as an entrepreneur, specializes in horse breeding.

Athletic career

Besozzi can also look back on a very successful sporting career. As a football player at Club Atlético Bristol , he made the leap into Soriano's youth team. However, he experienced his most successful time in the sporting field as part of his activity as a polo player, which he took up at the age of 15. Political career

Besozzi is a member of the Partido Nacional and belongs to the Alianza Nacional wing . In 2000 he was elected to the Junta Departamental of Soriano and served as Edil until 2005. In the local elections on May 8, 2005 , he ran as a candidate for the office of Intendente of the Soriano Department and won with a clear majority. In the local elections on May 9, 2010 , he was confirmed by the electorate for a further five-year term. From July 2008 to July 2009, he also held the vice-presidency of the Uruguayan Congress of Directors.
