The Guinassee (also English Lake Guinas ) is an approximately 140 × 70 meters large and 132 meters deep karst lake near Guinas , northern Namibia . It is Namibia's largest lake that is constantly filled with water and the twin lake of Lake Otjikotose 15 kilometers away . The assumption that it is connected to this via an as yet unexplored subterranean cave water system has not yet been proven.

The Guinassee was previously used to supply water to the nearby city of Tsumeb by means of a still existing steam pumping station. The endemic cichlid species Tilapia guinasana , which is threatened with extinction and originally endemic there, occurs in Lake Guinea .
