Guirane N'Daw (born April 24, 1984 in Rufisque ) is a former Senegalese soccer player.

Career

society

Guirane N'Daw began his career in the youth of FC Sochaux until he made the leap to the professional team in 2002. In the first three seasons, however, he was only used as a substitute and in three years to just 25 league games. In the 2005/06 season he had his breakthrough in Sochaux and so he held his regular place until his move in July 2008. For Sochaux, he made 122 league games and scored five goals. In 2007 he won the French cup competition with Sochaux.

For the 2008/09 season, the club changed to FC Nantes . When Nantes was relegated to Ligue 2 after his first season , N'Daw was loaned to AS Saint-Étienne for the 2009/10 season. In addition, at the end of the loan period, Saint-Étienne had a purchase option of four million euros, which the club also took advantage of.

After five league games in the first half of the 2010/11 season, he was loaned to the Spanish club Real Saragossa on January 24, 2011 for the remainder of the season . On August 23, he was awarded again for the new season, this time to Birmingham City until January 2012 with the option of an extension until the end of the season. On September 15 he made his debut for Birmingham in the UEFA Europa League against Sporting Braga . After a few appearances in the Europa League, his league debut followed on December 7th in a 2-1 defeat at Hull City .

On January 6, 2012, Birmingham City and AS Saint-Étienne agreed to extend the loan period until the end of the season. For the 2012/13 season, N'Daw was awarded to Ipswich Town . After his contract at Saint-Étienne has expired, N'Daw signed a one-year contract with Greek first division club Asteras Tripolis on September 4, 2013 . For Asteras Tripoli he made 29 league games and scored three goals. After the season he moved to the French first division club FC Metz on a free transfer and immediately established himself as a regular player. After 27 first division appearances and three appearances in the four-tier CFA, the Senegalese transferred to the second division RC Lens for the 2015/16 season . After only nine league appearances this season and a change of coach, which gave him even fewer minutes of play, he left Lens in October 2016 and initially announced his retirement.

Since February 2019 he has been active again for the lower class club AS Algrange in the fifth division.

National team

N'Daw made his international debut for Senegal in 2004. He made a total of 44 internationals in which he scored four goals. He is part of the 23-strong squad for the 2012 African Cup of Nations , previously he was part of the Senegalese squad at the 2006 and 2008 African Championships .
