Guli Danda

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guli Danda ( Urdu / Hindi ) is a game related to cricket that dates back to the Indian subcontinent and is still practiced today by children who cannot afford a cricket bat.

You play it with the guli , a small piece of wood pointed on both sides, and the danda , a wooden stick. To do this, a small hole is made in the ground, over which the guli are placed across. The goal is to skillfully hit the guli with the help of the danda, to transport them from the bottom up and then to hit them as far as possible from a sufficient height with all their strength. The winner is the one who manages to advance the Guli the furthest.
