Gunhild Oberzaucher-Schüller

Gunhild Oberzaucher-Schüller (born September 27, 1942 in Vienna ) is an Austrian theater and dance scholar .

Gunhild Schüller attended the Realgymnasium (graduation with the Matura). From 1964 to 1975 she completed her studies in the following disciplines: theater studies, art history , Russian and Russian history at the University of Vienna . From 1971 onwards, she spent time studying in London and Paris. In 1975 she received her doctorate with a thesis on Bronislawa Nijinska . From 1975 to 1984 she was teaching dance history at the Institute for Theater Studies at the University of Vienna. At the same time, she took on ballet dramaturgical activities for the Vienna State Opera from 1976 to 1982 . From 1980 to 1983 she taught dance history at the ballet school of the Austrian Federal Theater . From 1982 to 2002 Oberzaucher-Schüller worked as a research assistant at the Research Institute for Music Theater at the University of Bayreuth . At the same time, she taught dance history at the Vienna Conservatory from 1986 until 2002 . She then went to the University of Salzburg , where she has directed the Derra de Moroda Dance Archives since 2003 .

Gunhild Schüller has been married to the ballet dramaturge Alfred Oberzaucher since 1985 .
