Gunnel Ekroth

Gunnel Ekroth (* 1963 ) is a Swedish archaeologist and historian. She completed her studies with a dissertation on the sacrificial rituals of Greek hero cults in the archaic to early Hellenistic times at Stockholm University . She is a professor in the Department of Archeology and Ancient History at Uppsala University and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Literature, History and Antiquities.
