Gunther Karl

Gunther Karl (* 1948 ) is a German judge and was President of the Finance Court of Saxony-Anhalt from 2004 to 2013 .

After becoming qualified as a judge, Karl entered the higher judicial service of the State of Berlin and initially worked as a probationary judge at the Berlin Administrative Court . In 1978 he was appointed judge for life, after a temporary secondment to the Senator for Justice, he was appointed judge at the Berlin Finance Court and in 1994 he was appointed presiding judge.

On November 19, 2004, Karl became President of the Finance Court of Saxony-Anhalt. He held this office until he retired in 2013.
