The Merbabu ( Indonesian Gunung Merbabu ) is a stratovolcano in Central Java ( 3142 m ). Together with its "twin", Merapi , around ten kilometers south, it offers an impressive panorama. The last eruption of the Merbabu was in 1797.
To the north is the Telomoyo with an altitude of 1894 m .
