The Gurkha peak is approximately 900 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . On the northern slope of the Kukri Hills, it rises between the Crescent Glacier and the Von Guerard Glacier .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998 based on the naming of the Kukri Hills after the Gurkha , whose traditional weapons included the Kukri knife .
