The Kukri Hills are a 40 km long mountain range in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In an east-west extension, it separates the Ferrar Glacier in the south from the Taylor Glacier and the Taylor Valley in the north. The highest point is the Sentinel Peak in the south-central part with more than 2000 m .
They were discovered by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . The mountain range got its name because its curved shape resembles a kukri knife .
