The Sentinel Peak ( English for watchdog peak ) is a striking and over 2000 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises as the highest mountain in the south-central part of the Kukri Hills on the northern flank of the Ferrar Glacier .
He was discovered and named by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
