The Ferrar Glacier is an approximately 56 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the Polar Plateau west of the Royal Society Range to at the Scott Coast lying New Harbor at McMurdo Sound . The glacier is connected to Taylor Glacier , from where it continues east along the south side of the Kukri Hills to New Harbor.
The glacier was discovered by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after Hartley Travers Ferrar (1879–1932), the geologist on this research trip .
