action

The film is about nine people who are shown in isolation in a building over a period of four days. You are survivors of a devastating war. Pablo has a relationship with Maria, the leader of the group. Lucas lives with Mateo and Ana shares a room with Magda, her surrogate mother. Jesus, who is documenting the group's life with a video camera, shares a room with Pedro, a former soldier, while Judas lives alone.

Residents cannot leave the complex where they live as they are constantly on guard against the contaminated survivors of the war infected by a virus and mysterious beings. The beings are attracted to heat, which is why the residents turn off the electricity and heating at night, what they call the "cold hour".

When food and medicine supplies run out, Pablo, Pedro and Lucas are sent to a warehouse to get supplies. On the way back to the complex they have to flee from contaminated survivors and get lost in the corridors of the ″ forbidden zone ″, which is particularly teeming with the infected. Pablo blames Pedro for the fact that they are in danger, whereupon he locks him in a room with the infected and leaves him to his fate. When the others learn of Pablo's death, they begin to think about their seemingly hopeless situation.

The next day a little boy appears in the complex, whom Jesus had already noticed several times in the corridors below the complex. He reports that the infected drove him away. The residents recognize the danger and decide to attack the infected. During the attack, Mateo and Lucas are infected and shot by Pedro and Maria. The children remaining in the complex are surprised by an infected person and flee to a safe room. Before they reach this, Jesus becomes infected. The adults finally save the children and Judas saves Jesus from being shot by Pedro.

Pedro becomes more and more paranoid, believes he can hear voices and finally shoots Maria. The situation comes to a head when Pedro meets the remaining survivors in the corridors of the complex and the mysterious beings reappear. Pedro approaches the creatures and shoots himself, the others flee from the complex to the surface. Once outside, they will soon be watched by the infected.

When Jesus turns his gaze to heaven, he finally sees the earth. The viewer is finally revealed that the complex is a station on the moon and the earth has been almost completely destroyed.
