Guru Chökyi Wangchug ( tib . Gu ru chos kyi dbang phyug ; born 1212 ; d. 1270 ) or Guru Chöwang ( gu ru chos dbang ) was a Tertön or treasure discoverer of Nyingma -Schule of Tibetan Buddhist . He is the discoverer of the Lower Treasures .

Guru Chökyi Wangchug is considered the second of the Five Tertön Kings ( gter ston rgyal po lnga ).

Upper and Lower Treasures ( gter kha gong 'og ) is the Tibetan name for the treasures discovered by Nyang Ral Nyima Öser and Guru Chökyi Wangchug in the 12th and 13th centuries.
