Gustaf Bengtsson
Gustaf Adolf Tiburtius Bengtsson (born March 29, 1886 in Vadstena , † October 5, 1965 Linköping) was a Swedish composer.
Bengtsson was a student of Johan Lindegren from 1905 to 1908 at the Stockholm Conservatory . He then continued his training in Berlin , Leipzig and Paris . From 1921 to 1942 he lived as an orchestra conductor and music teacher in Karlstad and later in Linköping .
He composed three symphonies , orchestral suites , a violin and a cello concerto, a sinfonietta for violin, viola and chamber orchestra, chamber music works, piano pieces, choirs and songs as well as the famous string quartet in G major from 1929.
