Gustav Blümer (* in the 19th century; † in the 20th century) was a German architect and municipal building officer .

Life and Buildings

Gustav Blümer, who came from Stuttgart , was appointed government architect ( assessor in the public building administration) in 1889 after passing the 2nd state examination .

As a town architect and later town planning officer in Esslingen am Neckar , he created several buildings there, which are now under monument protection : 1902 to 1904 the girls 'elementary school at Blumenstrasse 31, the Sulzgrieser school house in Sulzgrieser Strasse 122 in 1904, the girls' secondary school in Blumenstraße 10 from 1910 to 1912, the fire station in 1912/1913 , and the Pliensau School in 1913 at Breitenstraße 19.

The Israelite orphanage at Entengrabenstrasse 10, essentially a building from the early 18th century, was given its current appearance in 1922 by Blümer.

The grammar school , Lohwasen 1 , which was built in 1910, is not a listed building . Blümer described this building in detail in the commemorative publication that was published at the inauguration.
