Gustav Jeuthe

Gustav Jeuthe (born September 6, 1876 in Bernburg , † February 8, 1963 in Dessau ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Jeuthe, who after graduating from primary school, worked as a book printer and typesetter, worked from 1904 to 1933 as an accountant and cashier for the Volksblatt für Anhalt , whose management he took over in 1919. In the same year he also became managing director of the printing works in Dessau. In addition, he was involved in employee representation and was chairman of the Dessau union cartel in 1905/06. In addition, since 1927 he acted as deputy chairman of the main board of the Workers 'Gymnastics and Sports Federation in Leipzig and as chairman of the state workers' sports cartel of the Free State of Anhalt .

During the time of the German Empire , Jeuthe joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). In 1911/12 he was chairman of the constituency organization for Anhalt and in the 1920s he was agitation leader of the Dessau-Ost district. In 1918 he was elected to the Landtag of the Free State of Anhalt , to which he belonged without interruption until 1933.
