Gustav Köhler (born July 20, 1859 in Dortmund , † 1922 in Munich ) was a German portrait and genre painter.

Gustav Köhler studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1881 to 1883 with Heinrich Lauenstein (1835–1910), Hugo Crola (1841–1910) and Eduard von Gebhardt (1838–1925), then from 1884 to 1885 in Munich with Karl Rickelt (1857–1944) ) and Friedrich Fehr (1862–1927). After completing his studies, he worked in Munich, showing his works in the Munich Glass Palace . In 1897 he married the sculptor Eleonore Pohlschröder.
