Gustav Krekeler

Gustav Paul Theodor Krekeler (born June 18, 1852 in Petershagen , † after April 1, 1915) was a Prussian administrative officer and district administrator in the Gersfeld district .

Life

Gustav Krekeler was born the son of a teacher.

He studied at the University of Göttingen , the University of Marburg and at the University of Würzburg Law . In 1877 he passed the first state examination as a court trainee. In 1883 he worked as a government assessor in Kassel. From March 15, 1883, he was appointed provisionally and finally from November 30, district administrator in the Gersfeld district. At the same time he was appointed to the government council on August 9, 1889 and transferred to the administration of the Marienwerder administrative district .

The reason for the transfer were strong disputes between Krekeler and the Catholic clergy in the Gersfeld district. During his tenure, the Gersfelder Kreisblatt was founded and the Rhön Railway was built and inaugurated. He especially promoted road and path construction during his tenure in Gersfeld.

At times Georg Krekeler was a member of the state parliament in Prussia . He was retired on April 1, 1915.
