Gustav Vetter

Gustav Rudolf Vetter (born April 28, 1936 in Amstetten ; † June 26, 2013 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and state official. Vetter was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1971 to 1994 .

Life

After elementary school, Vetter attended a federal high school and completed his education in 1955 with the Matura . During his school days, Vetter joined the K.Ö.MV Ostarrichia Amstetten in the MKV . He was also an honorary member of the K.Ö.St.V. Leopoldina Gmünd in the MKV and the K.Ö.HV Nordgau Wien in the ÖCV . In 1955 he entered the service of the Lower Austrian provincial government and was a civil servant at the Gmünd district administration in the social department. From 1982 he was state party secretary of the ÖVP Lower Austria, from 1955 a member of the Austrian Workers' Association (ÖAAB) and from 1957 a member of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions . Vetter was also district chairman of the ÖAAB Gmünd and from 1966 a member of the regional board of the ÖAAB Lower Austria. He represented the ÖVP between 1965 and 1971 in the Gmünd local council and from November 4, 1971 to November 6, 1994 in the National Council.

At the end of June 2013, the People's Party of Lower Austria announced Vetter's death.
