Gustav Wülfke (* 1840 in Husum ; † 1904 in Zurich ) was an architect who mainly worked in Switzerland.

Education and most important works

Wülfke studied with Gottfried Semper at the Zurich Polytechnic between 1861 and 1864 . The brisk construction activity at the Swiss railways at the end of the 19th century prompted Wülfke to join the technical operations office of the Swiss Northeast Railway , where he worked until 1875, most recently as head of the building construction department. In 1875 he became managing director of the construction company Näff & Zschokke in Aarau and Zurich and later a partner in the Zschokke & Cie. AG. As part of this activity, he led the construction work on the Hotel National and the Zurich Stock Exchange. On January 1, 1890, chief engineer R. Moser Wülfke called in again as head of the structural engineering department. As part of this function, he designed all the station buildings on the Eglisau – Neuhausen line and on the right bank of the Zürichseebahn . These include the reception building of Stadelhofen station from 1893 and that of Tiefenbrunnen station from 1893–1894 in Zurich , as well as smaller stations with station buildings and separate goods sheds such as B. the train station in miles .
