Gustav W. Schimmelpenning

Gustav Wilhelm Schimmelpenning (* December 18, 1928 - September 16, 2009 ) was a German neurologist or neurologist and psychiatrist.

From 1971 to 1994 he was director of the university neurology clinic and - after the separation of neurology - of the psychiatric university clinic in Kiel . Among other things, he described for the first time in 1957 the Schimmelpenning-Feuerstein-Mims syndrome, which was later named after him and the two American pediatricians Richard C. Feuerstein and Leroy C. Mims .
