Gustav von Zangen
Gustav von Zangen (born April 5, 1839 in Worms , † June 27, 1912 in Darmstadt ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Life
Zangen, son of Major Ludwig von Zangen, studied law in Gießen from autumn 1857 , where he was a member of the Corps Hassia . In 1867 he became secretary at the Court of Appeal and Cassation in Darmstadt, but switched to general administration in 1874 and became a district assessor in Alzey , in 1877 in Darmstadt, then a councilor at the provincial offices in Gießen and Mainz. In October 1888 he was appointed district councilor in Oppenheim . In 1893 he retired for health reasons, but still served as a member of the Hessian Administrative Court in 1895/96 and in 1897 as a member of the reinforced Chamber of Accounts in Darmstadt. In 1900 he became a secret councilor.
In 1886 Gustav von Zangen was appointed Grand Ducal Chamberlain .
