Gustavo Lins

Gustavo Lins (born June 3, 1986 in Rio de Janeiro ), actually Gustavo Barreira Lins, is a Brazilian pagoda musician.

Career

Gustavo Lins was born in the Tijuca district, the son of Mário Barreira Lins and Celina Barreira Lins. Gustavo Lins learned to play the guitar by himself at the age of nine, and at the age of twelve he and friends founded the pagoda band "Demais da Conta". The group soon broke up and Gustavo Lins became a solo artist. At the age of 14 he wrote and composed the song “Pra ser Feliz”, which in 2003 became one of the most played pieces of music in Brazil . With the help of his uncle, he was able to record his first CD at Warner Music at the age of 16. This was followed by live performances and Gustavo Lins became one of the most important composers of the new generation of pagoda musicians. He wrote pieces for Alcione, Belo, Os Travessos e Kelly Key, Exaltasamba , Osolekes, Sorriso Maroto , Suel, Boka Loka , Stylo Sensual, Pique Novo, Rodriguinho and Perlla, among others. Gustavo Lin's style is from the romantic pagoda to the samba funk.
