Gustavus M. Blech
Gustavus M. sheet (born November 16 . Jul / 28. November 1870 greg. In Riga , Russian Empire as Gustavus Maximilian sheet ; † 9. August 1949 in Chicago , Illinois ) was a Russian-born American surgeon and university lecturer.
Life
Gustavus Blech was born as the son of Johann and Johanna Blech (Bljach). After emigrating to the United States in 1890, he received his medical degree from Barness Medical College in St. Louis , Missouri , in 1894 . He then worked at various medical institutions as a surgeon and professor of clinical surgery.
Blech was a veteran of the United States Army (highest rank colonel ) and Illinois National Guard (highest rank brigadier general ). He served in the Spanish-American War and the First World War .
He was married to Nelda Tschirley Blech. They were buried together in Arlington National Cemetery.

Blech has published many articles and was the editor of the Journal of Physical Therapy .
