Guy Prévost
Guy Prévost (* around 1960; † August 10, 2017 ) was a French jazz musician ( drums ), stylistically connected to Dixieland .
From 1978, Prévost was a member of Christian Garros ' big band for many years , which can be heard on the album Rouen Memory Jazz Band de Christian Garros (1981). He also worked mainly in Normandy with the formations Les Pinces à Linge (LP Jam Potatoes ), Endless Voices , with the Rouen Big Band founded by Garros ( Hommage à Christian Garros , 1989) and the Rouen Memory Jazz Band as well as with the New Chocolate Dandies ( That's My Home ; 2005). Prévost, who was considered a great connoisseur of early jazz styles such as New Orleans jazz and swing , died in 2017 of complications from diabetes.
