Gwendolen Guinness, Countess of Iveagh
Gwendolen Florence Mary Guinness, Countess of Iveagh ( July 22, 1881 - February 16, 1966 ) was a British politician ( Conservative Party ).
Gwendolen Florence Mary Onslow was born in 1881 to William Onslow, 4th Earl of Onslow , and his wife Florence Coulston Gardner. On October 8, 1903, she married Rupert Guinness . The marriage had five children. In 1920 she was inducted into the Order of the British Empire as Commander . After her husband inherited the title of 2nd Earl of Iveagh in 1927 , she carried the courtesy title of Countess of Iveagh . Another consequence was that she was now the direct successor of her husband, who had moved to the House of Lords as Earl of Iveagh , and was elected to the House of Commons in the constituency of Southend-on-Sea from November 19, 1927 to November 14, 1935 belonged to.
