Lists on the subject

The Hämmerli 280 is a sport pistol with interchangeable systems in the calibers .22 long rifle and .32 S&W long WC . It was developed by the Swiss manufacturer Hämmerli in Lenzburg and produced there from 1988 to 1998. Today the support is provided by Carl Walther Sportwaffen GmbH .

The magazine well, which is placed in front of the trigger, is characteristic. The frame, breech block and magazine of the weapon are made of carbon . The designers Rohr, Ackle and Bomatter determined the development, Ing.Göpfert made extensive calculations on the mainframe computer of the ETH at the ETH Zurich, the results of which were included in the development.

The weapon is equipped with a spring-mass locking system and automatic interruption. Since the defined bolt mass and the spring constant of the closing spring of the unlocked bolt do not allow any loads , only the specified types of ammunition should be used. For example, the .32 S&W Long WC has a lower propellant charge than a .32 S&W Long, which, although it cannot be accommodated in the magazine, could possibly be inserted individually into the chamber.

Plastic or steel weights can be attached under the barrel for precise balance adjustment. It has also been proven that the slide closes again after the last shot is fired so that the marksman always feels the same impulse in his hand.
