The sarcastic chief Feuerauge lives with his family and his tribe in the Wild West in an undefined time, which contains historical as well as modern elements. You accompany the Indians in everyday life, in fights and on the hunt. The animals also talk to one another.
Creation and publication
The comic strip was licensed by King Features Syndicate and appeared in 100 daily newspapers. In France the comic was published in Tintin magazine and in Germany in Zack magazine .
Inventor Gordon Bess drew the strip from 1967. Due to illness, he handed the comic over to Bill Yates (text) and Mel Casson (drawings) in 1988 . For the past few years, Mel Casson wrote and drew the comic alone.
