The row of houses at Marktplatz 11-14 on Marktplatz is a building in Darmstadt .

History and description

The row of houses on the eastern edge of the market square was built in the 1950s to replace the previous buildings that were destroyed in World War II. Stylistically, the row of houses belongs to post-war modernism .

The structure is approximately 50 meters long and 20 meters wide. The four-story building has a hipped roof . In the ground floor there are several catering establishments in the three upper floors are apartments. The most striking feature of the row of houses is the grid facade with 23 window axes .

The row of houses at Marktplatz 11-14 has been a listed building since 2015 .
