Schöneshof is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Schöneshof is located above the Bröltal in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Kaule in the north, Ingersau in the east and Birken in the west. The place can be reached via the federal highways 478 and 507 .

history

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .

In 1830 Schöneshof had 54 residents. In 1845 the farm had 68 Catholic residents in twelve houses. In 1888 there were 38 residents in twelve houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 44 inhabitants. The families Ackerer Wilhelm Balensiefer, Ackerer Peter Demmer, Ackerer Wilhelm Gilgen, Ackerin widow Wilhelm Grau are recorded. Stellmacher Clemens Rosauer, Ackerin Lisette Rosauer, Ackerin widow Wilhelm Rosauer, Ackerer Peter Söntgerath and Ackerer Wilhelm Walterscheid.

The two neighboring villages of Kleinscheid and Großscheid are now part of the local area.
