Hasenbach is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Hasenbach lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Köbach in the north, Hermerath in the east, Broscheid in the south and Hülscheid in the west.

history

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen . It grew through a weekend house settlement . Therefore the street names come from fairy tale characters and not grown districts.

In 1830 Hassenbach had 8 inhabitants. In 1845 the hamlet had 14 Catholic residents in two houses. In 1888 there were 17 residents in three houses.

In 1901 the homestead had 21 residents. Listed are the host and brandy distiller families Hubert Römer, landlord August Schröder and farmer's widow Peter Söntgerath.
