Oberdorst is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Oberdorst lies between Nackhausen and Oberheister . Other neighboring towns are Ohlig in the west, Oberheimbach in the east and Kuhlen in the south.

Surname

Whether the name is related to the occurrence of Dorst ( oregano ) is not known, but an earlier spelling was also Dorsch . Unterdorsch was the larger southern neighboring town that has grown together today.

history

In 1830 Oberdorst had 92 inhabitants. In 1845 the hamlet had eleven Catholic and eighty Protestant residents (91) in 22 houses. In 1888 there were 89 residents in 25 houses.

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
