Kuhlen is a district of Oberdorst in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .
location
The formerly independent town of Kuhlen is located in the south of Oberdorst. Pütz is located south of the village .
history
At the beginning of the 19th century the place was called Kuhlehof .
In 1830 Kaulen had 40 inhabitants. In 1845 Kaulen had one Catholic and 35 Protestant residents in eight houses. In 1888 there were 30 residents in nine houses in Kuhlen.
In 1910 the families of peddlers Johann Birkner, farmhand and trader Johann Wilhelm Haas, farmhand Albrecht Heimann, farmhand Heinrich Wilhelm Linden and miner August Roth lived in Kuhlen .
The hamlet belonged to the Seelscheid community until 1969 .
