Heister is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Heister is located on the Seelscheid in the Bergisches Land on federal highway 56 . Neighboring towns are Busch and Breitscheid in the north and Herkenrath in the south.

history

In 1830 Heister had 52 inhabitants. In 1845 the hamlet had 52 Protestant residents in nine houses. In 1888 there were 60 residents in twelve houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 46 inhabitants.
