Wende is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Wende is located on the Wendbach in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Oberwennerscheid in the west, Söntgerath in the north and Hardt in the east.

history

In 1830 Wende had 12 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 27 Catholic residents in five houses. In 1888 there were 13 residents in six houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 17 residents. The families Müllerin widow Franz Alda and carpenter Peter Pütz are listed.

In 1910 the households Müller Anton Alda and the farmer widow Franz Alda lived in Wende . Apparently the son has taken over the water mill , the mother does some farming. Peter Pütz, still recorded in 1901, could be identical to the current Müller in Oberhorbach of the same name .

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
